If you or you know someone has experienced the death of a child, consider participating in this unique camp. Jacoby’s Shield helps parents and family units find connection and healing, together.
Jacoby’s Shield, established in 2016 by parents Stuart & Xaviera Latta, is a 501(c)(3), grief and healing organization providing services to families experiencing the death of a child.
Providing comfort, hope, and healing to parents, grandparents, and siblings affected by grief.
Whether stillborn or 50, every year, countless parents experience the death of a child. Our unique programs give parents and siblings the chance to cry, laugh, grow, and heal. Kids meet other kids in similar circumstances, and together, they grow stronger.
The death of someone close can be a devastating experience for anyone, let alone a child. For children, losing a parent, sibling or other important people in their life can significantly disrupt their healthy development. They can feel like their entire world has been turned upside down, and more often than not, they do not know how to process the overwhelming emotions of grief.
