Obituary

Obituary Christopher "Chris" McDonald, 36, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on May 12, 2023. Chris was born on September 13, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Randy and Becky McDonald. He graduated from Ridgeview High School and attended 1 year at Midlands Community College. Chris was a loving father to his three children, Chris Jr, Hayden, and Gracen. Chris was survived by his partner Deatra Williams, parents, Randy and Becky McDonald, siblings, Chasity Council and Chad McDonald, nephew Tyler McDonald, nieces Sara, and Londyn Council, and great-nephews, Levi and Brycen McDonald. Chris had a magnetic personality and was loved by all who knew him. He had a smile that would light up a room and a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. He was passionate about coaching football, playing football and track, cooking out, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and playing with them. A funeral viewing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 7-9 pm at Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, 4645 Hardscrabble Road, Columbia, SC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1 pm at the funeral home chapel.
