Patsy Walters Arrowood, aged 85, of Elgin, SC, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026. Born on August 29, 1941, in Mooresville, NC to Alvin and Alice Eleanor Walters, Patsy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. For many years, she worked in the accounting industry, offering her clerical skills and dedication to her profession.
Patsy was a woman of many talents and interests, including crochet, quilting, sewing, crafting, and making beautiful Afghans. She found joy in birdwatching at her bird feeder, a simple pleasure that brought her much peace. Patsy was a member of the Shannon Baptist Church and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. Her faith was a beacon in her life, guiding her through her journey.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Alice Winkler (Mike); son, Mark Kyles (Jerrilynn); grandchildren, Jason Arrowood, Melissa Spiker, Michael Winkler Jr., Preston Kyles; great-grandchildren, Alexas Spiker, Brittany Bussard, T.J. Spiker; sister, Terri Cline (Burl) and a great-great grandchild, Astrid Bussard. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Alexander Kyles; second husband, Cliford Harrison Arrowood; parents, Alvin and Eleanor Walters; sons, John Scott Arrowood, and David Alexander Arrowood; and a grandson, Johnathan Winkler.
Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2668 US 1, Elgin, S.C. 29045 on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 10-11 am with the funeral starting at 11 am at the church. The graveside service will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin, South Carolina, 29045.
