Obituary

Mr. Lewis was born to the union of Rev. and Mrs. Trenton and Loretta Lewis on
March 9, 1985. He experienced his Christian conversion at an early age at New
Minnie Hill (now Trinity) Missionary Baptist Church, Gainesville, FL. King Micah,
affectionately and lovingly dubbed so by Micah, was a Department of Defense
School System graduate of Zama American High School in 2003, where Micah played
Varsity Football. He attended Midlands Technical College and completed significant
work towards an Associate of Arts degree. Before his sudden death, he was
employed in the Hospitality Industry for over 18 years. He most recently signed on
to work with his father as the Vice-President of Operations for TMALT2
Conglomerate Inc.
Micah enjoyed time spent with his family, work, and friends. He was full of life
and worked to ensure everyone he knew felt valued. He was preceded in death by
his maternal grandparents, Mrs. Zepherine Hodge-Butler and Rev. Lloyd Butler, Sr.;
his paternal grandparents, Robert Smith and Betty Jo Stoney-Williams; one
Godmother, Musheerah Shahid; his uncles, Gregory Adolphus Lewis, Lloyd Butler,
Jr., Vander Williams, Jimmy Butler, Sr., his aunts, Shirley Ann Butler-Oates, Vandella
Nicole Williams-Johnson and one first cousin, Nicholas Camacho.
Micah leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his parents, Rev. Trenton and
Mrs. Loretta Lewis, his daughter, McKenzie Gilmore, and his brothers, Trenton
Lewis, II, and Andric Lewis (Azian) of Columbia, SC. Four loving uncles: Rev. Dr.
Gary R. (Diane) Valdez; Shawn R. (Shirley) Williams; Frank L. (Aundrekia) Williams;
Sammie Oates, and seven aunts: Annette (Willie) Jackson, Diane (James, Jr.)
Crawford, Debra (Arthur) Barnes, Cannella A. (Eric) Jefferies, T. Lynn (John)
Jenkins, and Shateshia (Peter) Odouori; Treemonisha S. (Joshua) Williams-McGee; 1
grandaunt: Mrs. Willie Mae Lacey, 1 Godson, Toran Moore; A loving and
compassionate former wife, Jasmine Lewis, and a kind and loving former mother-inlaw Angelic O’Neal; Best friends: Francis Burnett, Drake Quinn, and Andy Lucas.
Good friends: Alexander O’Neal and Tracey Moore. A host of first cousins: Lameka T.
