Mary “Sue” Funk Jordan Obituary
Mary “Sue” Funk Jordan of Elgin.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Sue Jordan, 94, of Elgin who passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday January 28th 2025 at Spring Valley Baptist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Elgin, SC. Sue was born in St. Stephens, SC to the late Marion and Laurie Funk. Sue attended Winthrop College and graduated from the University of South Carolina. While being a working mom of three she received her Master’s in Education from the University of South Carolina. Sue taught for 44 years and was teacher of the year twice. She was an active member at Spring Valley Baptist Church. Sue loved her family, church, and friends. Sue was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. Sue is survived by her children a daughter Laurie Narboni (Edmond), a son Jeff Jordan (Tony); two grandchildren Julian and Chloe Narboni; nieces, nephews, a host of loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Sue was predeceased by her loving husband Carter Jordan and her son Michael Jordan. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Agape Care of South Carolina in her memory.
