With a heavy heart, we announce the loss of Darin Eugene Brown, who left us on October 4, 2025. Born on March 2, 1967, in Columbia, South Carolina. A resident of Ridgeway, South Carolina, Darin was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather.
Darin was a tow truck driver by profession and spent his entire career in the towing industry. He had a special love for his grandbabies, whom he cherished immensely. His hobbies included watching his favorite team, the Clemson Tigers, play football and watching in westerns. A remarkable cook, he loved to be in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for his loved ones. He was a fervent jokester and an even more enthusiastic trash talker.
Darin is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Brown; children, Keith Brian Scott, Jr., Jennifer Scott and Jacob Roper; siblings, Dean Brown (Kathy),Sherry Fox, Paula Rampey, Faron Brown and Brent Brown (Tammy); grandchildren, Bria Price (Santos Talavera); Brian "Daniel" Scott, Elia Avila, Jordan Scott, Colvin Scott-Raudalus, Josiah Woods, Carlee ROper and Chloe Roper; and great grandchild, Jayvion Dean.
The visitation will be held at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078 on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will also be at the same venue on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 3:00 pm. With burial to follow the service in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Elgin, SC.
