Obituary for Mr. Daniel P. Shupe
Daniel P. Shupe, 78, of Columbia, died on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Born in Bluefield, WV, on August 18, 1946, he was a son of the late Claude Clifton Shupe, Sr., and Leona Juanita Lewis Shupe. Mr. Shupe was a Master of the Lodge having been a member of Lodge 398. He loved photography and was talented in capturing nature, bridal portrait and pageant photos. In his spare time, he traveled to the mountains and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Shupe was deeply loved by his family who will allow his legacy to live within them through generations.
Survivors include his daughters, Vivian Dawn Shupe Scott (Craig), of Lexington and Terri Jo Shupe, of Columbia; granddaughters, Brittany Nicole Scott, of Lexington, and Taylor Michelle Jeffcoat (Jacob), of Columbia; great-grandson, Jayce Jeffcoat; sister, Nancy Osburn, of Martinez, GA; and brother, James Steven Shupe, Sr. (Jocelyn), of Lexington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Gainey Shupe; and siblings, Claude Clifton Shupe, Jr., Thomas H. Shupe, William K. Shupe, and Linda V. Hammond.
The graveside service for Mr. Shupe will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, March 29, at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Rd, Elgin, SC, with Pastor Jeff Scott officiating.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
